Martha Colon says that taking her own pictures helps regulate her moods, and makes her feel good. Martha has a keen eye for reflective surfaces, self portraits, and specializes in macrophotography. Martha has participated in several gallery shows, many of which were hosted at Positive Exposures Gallery. In 2024 Marta participated in her first gallery show, Voice! 20 a state-wide art show held at the Martin Mullen Gallery in Oneonta, NY and won the People’s Choice Award. Martha is a dedicated self-advocate and public speaker, making sure the world knows that her wheelchair, and her disability, do not limit her.
